The Beauty of Battery Powered Leaf Blowers
Battery powered leaf blowers have a few disadvantages, but they’re still worth it in my opinion. Namely, they are more expensive and battery life is limited but this can be overcome by investing in a backup battery, which will cost you extra money, but it does solve the problem.
Snapper 48V Cordless — 450 CFM
Ultimately, battery powered leaf blowers are excellent for light to medium-duty tasks around the home. We’ve put together a guide with high-quality models that are both powerful and reliable. We don’t believe in recommending cheap products just because of price. If you want to waste your money on cheap leaf blowers then I suggest you find another article to give you advice. Invest your money in a quality battery powered leaf blower that will not only help you keep your yard clean but it will actually last you for many years to come.
Benefits of A Battery Powered Leaf Blower
Do you know how many hours you waste each year trying to clear the leaves from your garden? It’s something you don’t think about when you’re having so much fun in the sun, but as soon as fall comes around it won’t take you long to remember those agonizing days trying to do everything by hand. Trying to get the leaves from all those pesky areas your rake dare not go makes things so much worse, but there is a solution that will take care of all your problems — the convenient battery powered leaf blower.
Let’s take a look and figure out why they’re so beneficial.
- You’ll Save A Lot More Time Every Year
- Reach The Areas Your Garden Rake Can’t
- Easily Clean Up The Debris From Your Driveway
- Clean Out Your Gutters As Safely As Possible
You’ll Save A Lot More Time Every Year
This is worth mentioning again, mostly because leaf blowers cost money. It’s easy to tell yourself you don’t want to spend money on power tools if you’re not used to owning them, so I’d like you to think about it differently. Instead of trying to figure out how much time you’ll save, determine how much an hour of your time is worth. You could be playing more with your kids, taking part in your favorite hobbies, or even working longer hours instead of wasting your day in the garden.
★★★★½ TURBO Cordless ►EGO Power+ LB4800 : 480 CFM
Reach The Areas Your Garden Rake Can’t
How many flower beds do you have in your garden? When you’ve spend so long planting beautiful flowers everyone in your neighborhood admires, you can’t start attacking them with a rake. You’ll also have to get those leaves that will fall behind your bushes, and a rake will get tangled up as soon as you reach for them. Having to waste time bending over to pick them up is bad enough, but it will be even worse if you injure your back when a leaf blower would have stopped that from ever happening.
Easily Clean Up The Debris From Your Driveway
A leaf blower has more uses than helping you clear up leaves, and a perfect example of another benefit is clearing the debris from your driveway. You’ll end up with a lot of sharp debris on your driveway because of the wind or people dragging it in on the bottom of their shoes, and if you’re very unlucky you could end up with a flat tire. Instead of grabbing your broom and sweeping everything out of the way like you normally do, a quick blast with a leaf blower will get rid of it all.
Clean Out Your Gutters As Safely As Possible
When the leaves start falling down from the trees, a lot of them are going to end up in your gutters. If you don’t keep on top of things they’ll build up and stop the water from getting away, and when the water turns to ice and your gutters crash down because of the weight it will cost lots of money to repair them. If someone is underneath them when they fall it’s even worse. Instead of having to move your ladder dozens of times to grab all the leaves, your reach will improve with a leaf blower. Keep in mind, general ladder safety precautions always apply.

Advantages Of A Battery Powered Leaf Blower
Gas powered leaf blowers do have their advantages, but you’re much better opting for a battery powered leaf blower if you’re only buying one to use at home. Gas powered leaf blowers come with a bigger list of disadvantages, plus depending on where you live you might not be able to use one or there will be restrictions on when you can. They’re slowly falling into the ‘old school’ category, but let’s look at the advantages of a battery powered leaf blower to show you why they’re perfectly sufficient for your needs:
- They’re A Lot More Powerful Than You Think
- The Decibel Levels Are Much Lower
- You’ll Find Them Much Easier To Maintain
- Easy For Everyone To Use
- No Nasty Fumes Damaging Your Health Or The Environment
- It Doesn’t Take Much Room To Store Them Away
They’re A Lot More Powerful Than You Think
A little later on we’re going to look at a selection of battery powered leaf blowers you can purchase, and the one thing they all have in common is their power. Gas powered leaf blowers were always thought of as the most powerful ones around, which is still true depending on the model, but these days a battery powered one will do everything you need it to do. It will be able to shift wet piles of leaves and small rocks, which was always an issue with the battery powered leaf blowers in the past.
56V of Raw Power | WORX WG591 Turbine
The Decibel Levels Are Much Lower
I said some leaf blowers were banned in certain places or restrictions were put on when you could use them, and the reason they’ve come to be hated so much is because of the noise they make. Some gas powered leaf blowers are so loud they’re a danger to your ears because of their decibel levels, and they also have the power to turn everyone in your neighborhood against you. A battery powered leaf blower is much more forgiving, and even though you might still need to wear ear protection you’ll soon see their decibel levels average around 65dB(A), the sound of a conversation.
You’ll Find Them Much Easier To Maintain
The hardest thing about cleaning a battery powered leaf blower is wiping it down after it’s been placed on the ground with the wet leaves and dirt. You’ll also have to make sure the tube is clean in case wet leaves have stuck to the inside, which won’t take you more than 30 seconds. When it comes to gas powered leaf blowers with large motors there are a lot more things that can go wrong, plus it’s easy to forget to top up the oil and things could go downhill quickly. A battery powered leaf blower will last a lot longer before it needs to be serviced.
Easy For Everyone To Use
It’s a lot easier when you don’t need to keep filling your leaf blower up with gas. You will never need to remember to keep any stored away in your garage ever again. They’re also much easier for normal individuals to start, so you’ll not have to spend ages yanking on a cord before you get to work. The biggest benefit in this category is definitely the weight of the leaf blower, because they’re light enough for anyone to hold. There are even backpack models that eliminate almost all of the weight.
DEWALT DCBL590X1 | When Autumn comes, you’ll want this on your back.
No Nasty Fumes Damaging Your Health Or The Environment
Anything powered by gas means there will be nasty fumes floating around. What you don’t inhale will float up into the air, so either your health or the environment are going to suffer. A battery powered leaf blower doesn’t release any harmful fumes into the air, so your lungs will be completely safe as long as you wear a mask to protect yourself from dust. We already ingest far too many harmful fumes on a daily basis, but at least you won’t be exposed to it when you’re in the sanctity of your garden.
It Doesn’t Take Much Room To Store Them Away
The average weight of a battery powered leaf blower might be around 10 pounds, so as you can imagine they’re quite compact compared to other power tools. It will save you lots of hassle when it’s time to store them away, because they won’t take up too much room in your garage. The batteries in the leaf blowers are also fantastic, so when you do store them away they’ll be good at keeping their charge. While we’re talking about the size of the machines, their compact design allows them to be transported around easily.
Important Leaf Blower Terminology
When you’re buying a battery powered leaf blower, you’ll see all sorts of terminology thrown around. This is done because those who know what they’re looking for will be after specific figures, but companies will also want to make you think their leaf blower is better than the alternatives. You should know there are two specific figures you’ll want to understand before making a purchase, because if you don’t know the difference between each one you might make the wrong decision. Here is a quick explanation of what they both mean:
- MPH — Miles Per Hour
- CFM — Cubic Feet per Minute
MPH (Miles Per Hour)
MPH is the one everybody knows about, so a particularly high figure on a battery powered leaf blower might lure you in. This maximum rating will tell you exactly how fast the air will escape from your nozzle. Unfortunately the MPH rating on a particular model doesn’t tell us very much, because you’ve got no way of knowing anything else about the nozzle by the MPH rating alone. If you want to know what you’re really getting you must also know the CFM.
CFM (Cubic Feet Per Minute)
CFM is a little more difficult to understand because it involves more than speed. It’s got to do with the total cubic feet of air volume your leaf blower will push out of the nozzle per minute. The higher the number, the more leaves you’ll be able to move around. In a perfect world both the MPH and CFM would be as high as possible, but sometimes even though a leaf blower might have a lower MPH rating it will still come out on top if it has a large CFM. As long as you remember both are important you’ll be alright.

Overview | GBL80300 80V
The DigiPro brushless motor inside the GreenWorks GBL80300 is known to be extremely reliable, plus it offers you a huge amount of power. In fact, if we were to compare it to a gas powered motor it would have the equivalent of a 32cc gas engine, which is a lot considering it’s a battery powered leaf blower. It also comes with up to 500CFM and 125MPH shooting out of it, which is more than enough to deal with wet leaves and debris some models wouldn’t be able to touch.
Video | See it in action & decide for yourself
As it’s battery powered you will be curious as to how long it will actually last, so you’ll be pleased to know it will last up to 70 minutes if the battery is fully charged. That should easily be long enough to clean up your entire garden on a Sunday morning, but if not you’ll be able to purchase a spare 80V 2Ah battery separately. It also comes with a charger for those willing to wait, or if 70 minutes is more than enough time you can throw the battery in the charger so it’s ready for next time.
It’s extremely quiet when in operation sitting at only 60 decibels, and if you’re wondering how loud that is it’s about the average sound of a normal conversation. You’ll be able to use it at any time of the day without disturbing anyone. There will also be almost no vibrations making it easy to hold for a long time, and it’s only helped by the fact it weighs just under 9 pounds. To switch it on you simply need to push a button, and you won’t have to perform any maintenance on it to keep it operational.
Your Purchase Includes:
- Leaf Blower, Blower Tube, 80V 2AH Battery and Charger, and Owner’s Manual
Other packages:
- GreenWorks Pro 80V battery-powered leaf blower + 80V 21″ Lawn Mower (3-in-1) including mulching mode. Learn more on Amazon.
- Leaf Blower ONLY (GBL80300). No charger or battery.
Because this battery-powered leaf blower belongs to the GreenWorks 80V series you have the option to purchase the blower on its own in case you already have the charger and battery from the purchase of a different tool.
Here are the compatible tools that use the 80V battery:
- GreenWorks : GLM801600 Pro 80V Lawn Mower
- GreenWorks : GBL80320 Pro 80V Jet Blower
- GreenWorks : GHT80320 Pro 80V 26″ Hedge Trimmer
- GreenWorks : GST80320 Pro 80V String Trimmer
- GreenWorks: GBA80400 Pro 80V Chainsaw
There are two quick-charging batteries available for the series — under 30 minutes for the 2.0 Ah battery and under one hour for the 4.0 Ah battery.
The batteries are expensive, particularly the 4.0 Ah battery. If you want an extra backup battery it costs as much as any of the other battery-leaf blowers on this list. There’s a lot of juice in the battery and when you see it you might be surprised at how large it is. You have to remember that it takes a lot of power to run a leaf blower. The reality is that batteries are old technology and they’re expensive to produce; especially an 80V battery.
Having said that, if you can afford the cost then this is an excellent battery powered leaf blower that rivals light to medium-duty gas powered blowers. Having a 2nd battery for backup will ensure you can complete tasks around the home uninterrupted, but it won’t be cheap for the convenience of being able to do so. Overall, customer satisfaction is very high with this model so you can purchase with the confidence that you’re investing in a quality blower.

You’ll also be able to control the speed by pulling on the trigger, and once you’ve found a speed you’re happy with you can lock it in place for easy operation. You’ll also get a charger with the unit, plus if you really want to speed things up DEWALT have an optional 30 minute fast charger.
Although the weight of the battery powered leaf blower is a little under 16 pounds, it’s still lightweight even though it’s slightly heavier than the last leaf blower we looked at. It has a curved tube design which creates rotation control, and this will help reduce arm fatigue when you’re using it. The comfort grip handle and reduced vibration you’ll feel help with this too. At only 67 decibels when at max speed it’s also going to be very comfortable on your ears.

Overview | WORX WG591
The Turbine fan technology inside the WORX WG591 helps it generate a tremendous amount of power, and the Dynamic Air Flow on the back of the leaf blower will let it move very large volumes of air in the quickest amount of time possible. It’s comparable to a gas powered blower, yet it has all the benefits of a battery powered one. Like the other models we’ve looked at so far, with 465CFM and 125MPH you’ll be able to move wet leaves and heavy debris rather easily. It also has a large air nozzle in case you find yourself working in tough conditions.
Its brushless motor and 56V Max 2Ah battery is designed to give you maximum power for a longer run-time, and you’ll also have the option of turning the speed up or down using the multi-speed control feature. On a full charge it will last for around 10-20 minutes depending on how fast it’s running, but when it does eventually run out you’ll be able to recharge it on only 90 minutes using the charger that comes as standard. If you need to clear anything very heavy away, there is a Turbo Boost but it only lasts around 5 minutes.

Read the Manual — Please…
When using this WORX battery-powered leaf blower or any other brand remember to follow the safety guidelines as outlined in the manual. I know some people don’t even read the manual for the power tools they buy, which I feel is irresponsible. Don’t assume you know everything. Read the manual and follow the recommendations. It just might help prevent a serious injury from happening.
If you have children, you must always be mindful of where you leave your tools. Children love to play and if they stumble across a leaf blower they will likely think it’s a toy. As you can imagine, a battery-powered leaf blower is dangerous weapon in the hands of a child. Here are a couple guidelines from the WORX manual:
- To reduce the risk of electric shock – Do not use on wet surfaces. Do not expose to rain. Store indoors.
- Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary when used by or near children.
- Keep hair, loose clothing, fingers, and all parts of body away form openings and moving parts.
- Use only the charger supplied by the manufacturer to recharge.

The OREGON BL300 comes with premium blower technology, which gives you an extremely high performance motor and a fan capable of producing a huge blower output. As far as numbers go it’s the top one so far, because you’ll get 507 CFM and 132 mph.
A variable speed trigger and turbo button can also be found on your battery powered leaf blower, so you’ll be able to reduce or increase the power depending on what you’re doing. There is no doubt its brushless motor and quality fan design enables it to compete with gas powered blowers.
Video | See the OREGON BL300 Operating
One of the best features in Oregon products is the battery, because the 40V Max lithium ion one inside the BL300 doesn’t just give you a long run-time. The power will never fade out when you’re using it, and once you’ve charged it up the 4Ah battery can easily hold its charge for months when you’re not using it. If you do eventually want to charge it up, it will go from empty to full in only 210 minutes with the C600 charger provided. There is an optional C750 charger that will reduce the time to 60 minutes.
Your comfort has also been taken into consideration when they were designing the BL300, and one feature that stands out is the large speed trigger you’ll be able to reach without suffering from any fatigue. The blower itself weighs less than 9 pounds, so it won’t even feel like you’re holding anything in your hand.
You won’t find it difficult to hold for around 30 minutes, which is roughly the time it will take until it needs to be recharged unless you have a spare battery handy. If you already own an OREGON cordless power tool the batteries will be interchangeable.
Replacement Batteries:
The 40V MAX is compatible with the following OREGON power tools:
- OREGON ST275-A6 : Trimmer / Edger

Overview | EGO LB4803 Leaf Blower
EGO claim their Power+ system was inspired by aeronautical technology, which might be true because they do deliver up to 480CFM and 92MPH of power. You’ll have noticed some of the previous models have a variable speed trigger, but EGO offer something a little different. Instead of being able to control the speed your battery powered leaf blower operates at, you’ll have 3 different speed options to choose from. High Efficiency is 250CFM, High Power is 385CFM, and it’s the Turbo Boost where you’ll get 480CFM.
Video | See the EGO Power+ Leaf Blower in Action
This means the run-time you’ll get from the 56V 2.5Ah battery will depend on which setting you have it on. EGO claims a run-time of up to 75 minutes, which might seem too good to be true compared to other models, but you’ll only get close to that time on the High Efficiency setting. It does only take roughly 30 minutes to recharge the battery, but if you switch it to Turbo Boost because you need lots of power it will only last around 10 minutes. At least you have the option of using a spare battery.
The weight of the LB4803 is great too, and at just over 10 pounds it’s not a lot heavier than some of the lightest models we’ve looked at. It also reduces the vibration when you’re using it to stop you from becoming fatigued, and at 64 decibels it’s very quiet. One of the big bonuses with the EGO Power+ LB4803 is the weather-resistant design, so even if you need to use it when it’s raining outside it won’t be affected. Everything is locked up nice and tight within the casing, so you won’t need to worry about it suffering from water and dust damage.
EGO Power+ 56V Batteries
*Note: EGO now has an impressive 7.5 Ah battery which is unprecedented. This battery will give you a lot of juice for your tasks around the yard.

- EGO Power+ BA1120 — 56V — 2.0 Ah
EGO Power+ Rapid Charger CH5500
I don’t know why EGO doesn’t include their CH5500 Rapid Charger with your purchase but sadly, they do not. I guess it’s because they want you to spend the extra money but in my opinion it should be the default.
It’s ultra-fast in terms of charging. You can view the specific time it takes to charge the battery underneath the photo below.
Invest in the Power+ Rapid Charger | Takes 30 Minutes
For example, if you have the 4.0 Ah battery then the Rapid Charger will save you 50 minutes of charging time. The regular charger takes 80-minutes to charge while the Rapid Charger only takes 30-minutes. So, it’s considerably quicker and therefore worth the extra cost if you want to limit your idle time on yard tasks.
Features (CH5500 Rapid Charger):
- 30 Minute Charge Time. Industry leading battery recharging times.
- 56V Battery 2.0 Ah Battery: 25-minute charge time from zero to full charge.
- 56V Battery 4.0 Ah Battery: 30-minute charge time from zero to full charge.
- Fan Cooled Charging System: Prevents the battery & charger from overheating.
- Integrated LED Charge Indicator Lights: To let you know if your battery has a full charge or not.
- Charges all EGO POWER+ Batteries.

Overview | DEWALT DCBL590X1
If you want to make life as easy as possible you will like the DEWALT DCBL590X2, because it’s a quality backpack model designed to fit snugly over your shoulders. The battery powered leaf blower is on the heavy side coming in at just over 36 pounds, but the majority of this weight will never reach your hands. They’ve also went out and made it as powerful as possible, so you’ll get 450CFM and 142MPH packed inside your blower. It comes with 2 40V Max 7.5Ah batteries for an extremely long runtime compared to what you’d get with a single battery.
You will be in full control of the power at all times using the variable speed trigger, and once you’ve found a speed you’re happy with you can lock it in. There is also a switch on the control handle to choose which battery to use, so you could recharge the one you’ve finished with while still blowing all your leaves away at the same time. It’s easy to assume a big backpack blower would be louder than the handheld models, but at only 63 decibels it’s one of the quietest we’ve looked at and it won’t disturb anyone.
It’s not going to cause you any hassle when you’re wearing the backpack, because it’s padded enough to keep any vibrations to a minimum. The backpack also features a chest strap so you’ll be able to lock yourself in. You will need a little extra storage space when you’re finished using it, but it’s still not going to take up a lot of room. There is a switch on the control handle to lock everything off before you put it away, which also comes in handy when you’re transporting it around.

Overview | Makita XBU02Z
One of the things that makes the Makita XBU02Z different is its twin battery design, so instead of having a single 36V battery it comes with 2 18V LXT batteries to give you a great deal of power. At its maximum setting you’ll get 473 CFM and 120 MPH, which puts it into the small group of battery powered leaf blowers that compete with gas powered models. It has a variable speed trigger allowing you to alter the speed, but you’ll have 6 different settings to choose from in case you want to keep it on the same speed while you’re using it.
VIDEO / Dual-Battery Power — See it in Action
To give you an example of how long the batteries will last before they need to be recharged, when you have it on dial setting 3 your leaf blower will have a run-time of almost 30 minutes. One of the main drawbacks of the Makita XBU02Z is the decibel level, because if you have it at full speed it will hit 96dB(A). You’ll want to wear ear protection while you’re working, and it might not be a good idea to use it early in the morning. It does still have a few benefits when it comes to your comfort.
It comes in a compact size and it weighs under 10 pounds, so you won’t have any problem operating it. The in-line fan design is capable of keeping the blower balanced, so you’ll be able to use it with one hand without gripping it with all your might to keep it pointing in the right direction. Although it doesn’t have the same weather-resistant properties as the EGO Power+ LB4803, it does still have Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) to help keep dust and water out.
NOTE: The batteries and charger are not included so you need to purchase them separately. Here are your options for charger and batteries:

Overview | LSW36
Before we look at the power your BLACK+DECKER LSW36 will provide, it might be best if we look at the standout feature. This leaf blower only weighs around 4.5 pounds, which is by far the lightest one we’ve come across yet. It’s hard to imagine anybody being unable to pick this up and use it. Also, don’t be completely deceived by the weight, because it still contains enough power to deal with small jobs around your home when you don’t need a leaf blower on par with a gas powered model.
Its sweeper design is ideal for tasks like clearing walkways, driveways, and patios. The blow tube even has a built-in scraper allowing you to scrape wet leaves and debris off the surfaces before it’s time to blast them away. When you’re ready you’ll get 120MPH of air speed flying out of the nozzle. The Power Command controls will allow you to adjust the speed depending on whether you need more power or run-time. Once the 40V battery runs out it will only take an hour before it’s completely recharged.
LSW36 Replacement Batteries
The lithium ion batteries in these leaf blowers also hold their charge for a very long time, so you won’t necessarily need to recharge it after you’ve used it. It has a rating of 66 decibels, which shouldn’t pose any problems to your hearing.
The handle is also very soft and comfy to grip, so you can see BLACK+DECKER care about your comfort as much as the power you’ll have at your fingertips. You’ll be able to grip the handle while wearing gloves too, and it won’t affect your ability to operate the battery powered leaf blower.

DEWALT DCBL720P1 | 20V Max Cordless Leaf Blower
Features:
- Up to 400 CFM of air volume at 90 MPH to clear debris.
- High-efficiency brushless motor maximizing run time and motor life.
- Innovative axial fan design that maximizes on air output and run time.
- Lightweight and ergonomic design maximizes control and minimizes stress on your arm.
- Low noise during operation – 61 dB(A). Ideal for noise sensitive regions and properties.
- Variable trigger and speed lock for full power control.
Overview | DEWALT DCBL720P1
DEWALT proved they can also provide you with an excellent light-duty leaf blower almost capable of reaching the same heights as their 40V Max line when they released the DCBL720P1 model. Its performance sits as 400CFM and 90MPH, which should still be enough to deal with most of the jobs you’ll need it for. You’ll also get some of the amazing features you’ll be used to by now, like the variable speed trigger with the option to lock it into a certain speed so you don’t need to touch anything once it’s up and running.
If you’re wondering why such a small device offers you so much power, their innovative axial fan design is known to boost air output and increase the run-time simultaneously. You’ll get a 20V Max 5Ah battery, which should last close to 15 minutes when you’re running the battery powered leaf blower at full speed. With a rating of 65 decibels it’s completely fine to use in noise restricted areas, because as we’ve mentioned before that is close to the same level of noise created during a normal conversation.
I’m sure you must be wondering at the moment why it’s classed as a light-duty blower, because the power stats have been far too impressive. It’s only a touch over 7 pounds in weight, so like the last model it will be hard to feel like you’re holding anything. The handle size has also been optimized to make it as comfortable to hold as possible, and it’s so small you’ll be able to reach the trigger with ease. It also has a battery cage to make sure your battery is safe at all times.
Do You Need To Buy A Spare Battery For Your Leaf Blower?
The biggest disadvantage when it comes to battery powered leaf blowers has to be their limited run-time. Gas powered blowers will last for much longer, and as long as you’ve got an electric one hooked up it will run forever. One way to get around the problem is by purchasing a spare battery, which will give you more run-time and you’ll be able to recharge the spare while you’re working.
An additional battery really is the perfect touch to turn a battery powered leaf blower into a magical tool, so if you think you’ll need to use your machine for an extended period of time it’s worth getting one.
Safety Tips | Battery Powered Leaf Blower
We’ve just looked at some of the greatest battery powered leaf blowers you’ll ever find, and I’m sure you now know cordless power tools can still be dangerous after looking at the specifics. There are a few things you must always do when you’re operating one to stay as safe as possible, so let’s give you a quick rundown of them now. There might be some you wouldn’t have thought about, but they’re all fairly obvious once you’ve seen them written down:
- Wind Speed And Direction
- Close All The Windows
- Make Sure Nobody Is Around
- Never Use Near Fire Or Hot Ashes
- Always Place Them On A Hard Surface
Wind Speed And Direction
Even though you know how fast the air will come out of your battery powered leaf blower, there is a chance debris could fly much further. It all has to do with the wind speed on any given day, and it’s even worse when you aim the leaf blower in the direction the wind is blowing. If you’re lucky you will only end up taking much longer to clean everything up, but you must take the wind speed and direction into account to prevent anything more serious from happening.
Close All The Windows
Do you remember when we spoke about some being obvious? Making sure all your windows are closed would easily fall into this category, yet you’d be surprised by the number of people who seem to forget. Thanks to the power these battery powered leaf blowers now possess, there is no telling what the inside of your home will look like if things start flying through your open windows. Even if you get lucky and nothing ends up broken, you’ll have a lot of unnecessary cleaning up to do.
Make Sure Nobody Is Around
It’s easy to get caught up in your own little world when you’re trying to clear the leaves from your garden. It won’t matter if you have a massive garden and there is nobody close to you, but you have to be careful if random people could potentially walk directly into your path. Cars and your neighbor’s dog could end up covered in debris too. You might not hear them coming because powerful battery powered leaf blowers aren’t completely silent, so you must always be vigilant at all times.
Never Use Near Fire Or Hot Ashes
If you burn anything in your garden, you must ensure it’s completely extinguished before you grab your leaf blower from the garage. The air coming from the blower might not put a fire out. Instead, it could easily spread the fire everywhere and your garden could go up in smoke. This applies to any hot ashes lying on the ground too, because you might not know the fire isn’t really gone until it’s too late. When you’re ever in doubt you should leave your leaf blower in the garage.
Always Place Them On A Hard Surface
Hopefully you realize how easy it is to switch the leaf blowers off and on, because in an ideal world you would make sure they were switched off before laying them on the ground. If you’re used to gas powered models you might be used to laying them down while they’re still switched on. If you put them down on the wrong surface, the air inlet could pick things up and start throwing them at you. When you have no choice but to place it on the ground while it’s switched on you need to make sure it’s on a hard surface.
Which Battery Powered Leaf Blower is Best for You?
Do you even remember what the selection of leaf blowers was like a couple of years ago? It’s unbelievable how companies have managed to turn the battery powered leaf blower into a machine capable of dealing with anything you’ll come up against, so you’ll want to take advantage of the wonderful advancement in technology now.
The only decision you have to make is which one to buy, but like we said earlier it’s a good idea to click through and read the unbiased Amazon comments for a little help. We have looked at some of the best battery powered leaf blowers available today, so I’d be very surprised if you couldn’t find one blower that fit your needs and budget from this article.
