The Zodiac Polaris Booster Pump PB4-60 is the replacement pump for your Polaris pressure-side pool cleaner, such as the Polaris 380. Eventually the pump reaches the end of its lifespan and you simply have to replace it. The wonderful thing about the new PB4-60 Polaris Booster Pump is all the improvements they’ve made to the design. For example, it’s much quieter than the older Polaris Booster Pump.
And they’ve made several other improvements which I’ll explain in this review.

If you have a Polaris pool cleaner then you definitely want to replace your old pump with their new and improved Polaris Booster Pump. It’s actually a significant improvement over the old one and you’ll notice the difference immediately after installation. How?
Well, as I already mentioned, this new PB4-60 booster pump is ultra quiet. You won’t even notice it’s running. What else is new?
Also, you’ll notice that it actually delivers more power. Your Polaris pool cleaner will seem supercharged to you if you’ve been running the older pump.
In addition to more power and being quieter, these are the other new improvements to the Polaris Booster Pump:
- Ergonomic connectors allow for a quick and easy installation.
- Redesigned wet end for better performance and durability.
- Easy pump seal replacement.
- Larger volute seal o-ring.
