A well-made toy chainsaw that looks just like the real thing — but it’s only a toy. It’s safe for kids. Don’t worry. It’s designed for play, not cutting.
It’s impossible to deny that the STIHL toy chainsaw is a really nice looking battery-operated chainsaw for kids or collectors. This is a fantastic toy that makes engine sounds and has a moving rubber chain. I was surprised to discover how much kids seem to love toy chainsaws or any toys that resemble real-life adult power equipment and tools — like this Black and Decker Power Tool Workshop that I recently reviewed.
This particular STIHL toy chainsaw is very similar to all the other toy chainsaws available for children, which I reviewed in this article: Toy Chainsaws for Kids. I didn’t add this chainsaw to that original list because there’s only one review on Amazon, but after doing some research I realized that a lot of people are looking for a STIHL toy chainsaw, so I felt that I should provide an easy way to find it.
I think the lack of reviews on the STIHL toy chainsaw has more to do with scarcity. Obviously if it’s hard to find and purchase then not a lot of people are able to review it.
Here’s a good video that shows of the STIHL chainsaw in all its glory, including sounds. Excuse the Russian text. The video quality is good.
For whatever reason the STIHL website doesn’t have much information about this particular toy but you can have a look there if you want to see what I’m talking by visiting their site: STIHL battery operated chainsaw.
In all fairness, toy chainsaws are fairly straightforward but a video from STIHL would be nice to show it off for potential customers. C’mon STIHL, customers want more information — at least I do.
Well, it’s not the biggest toy on the block but remember, it is for young kids. It’s 40cm (15.75 Inches) in length. Take out the tape measure and size it up so you’re not surprised when it finally arrives. It includes batteries and is suitable for children 3 years and up.
If you’re interested in toys for kids I created a new section to this site called Outdoor Kids to share my toy ideas that inspire kids to go outside and play — which is something that I think kids need to do more of in this digital age.
I know many people are attached to the STIHL brand, and I have to admit, their toy chainsaw is a slick looking product, but there are other options available. Have a look at: More Toy Chainsaws
