EcoFlow BLADE Review – Advanced Robot Mower & Smart Devices

EcoFlow, a brand renowned for its exceptional power stations and solar generators, is expanding its product line to include innovative home and garden devices which they refer to as “Smart Devices.” Originally the focus of this article was going to be on my EcoFlow BLADE review but I just couldn’t resist taking a deep look at their new line of products in 2023.

I’m excited to share with you the details of their new offerings — the wonderful Blade — a refreshing Robotic Lawn Mower. In addition, I will look at the Glacier Portable Refrigerator, the Wave2 Portable Air Conditioner, and the EcoFlow Solar Tracker. I will give you my honest opinion, giving you a fair and honest review based on real-world experiences .

But as I’ve grown older, I’ve found that the physical effort required to maintain that pristine lawn has become more challenging. That’s where the BLADE comes in.

When I first heard about the EcoFlow BLADE, I was intrigued. A robotic lawn mower that could take care of my lawn without any effort on my part? It sounded too good to be true. But as I learned more about it, I realized that this wasn’t just any robotic lawn mower. This was a device that had been carefully designed and engineered to make lawn care as effortless as possible.

EcoFlow Blade Review : My Thoughts

The first thing that struck me about the BLADE was its sturdy design. With its wide, 7.8-inch omnidirectional front wheels, it was built to handle the rough terrain of my yard, effortlessly maneuvering rocks and ascending slopes of up to 50%. This was a major selling point for me, as my yard is far from flat and contains a fair share of obstacles.

Setting up the BLADE was a breeze thanks to one of the its most impressive features called virtual boundary-setting technology. This allows you to set the mower’s limits using the EcoFlow app within minutes, saving you time and energy without the need to lay pesky wire barriers. Whether you want the mower to stay within the confines of your yard, avoid specific objects, or even link two lawns, the Blade has got you covered.

This level of customization was impressive and made the setup process a breeze.

Once I set the BLADE to work, I was quite impressed by its efficiency and mobility. EcoFlow designed this robot mower to go anywhere — with complete 360° degrees of mobility. This thing looks like no other robotic lawn mower on the market. The engineers charted their own path and simply did what made sense for mowing lawns. It has large 7.6″ front wheels which allow to go over rocks about 1.6″ in height and EcoFlow claims it can go up 50% inclines. Now, I must admit that I never pushed anywhere near that. That’s amazing if that’s true.

The Lawn Sweeper Kit (sold separately) removed unwanted debris such as leaves, sticks, and waste from my yard, leaving it looking pristine. The BLADE’s cutting range was also impressive, with a vast 0.8-3.0 inch grass-cutting range adjustable in seconds using the app. This feature ensures that you’ll have the best-looking lawn in the neighborhood without any of the effort.

The BLADE’s X-Vision technology, which combines visual sensors and LiDAR, intelligently recognized and avoided obstacles big and small. Whether it was lawn furniture or my neighbor’s prize-winning begonias, the BLADE navigated around them with ease. This feature, combined with Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning tech, ensured the the Blade re-routes around rogue debris within an inch of the original plan, so it rarely gets stuck or misses a cut.

Overall, my experience with the EcoFlow BLADE has been overwhelmingly positive. It has transformed my lawn care routine, saving me time and effort while ensuring my lawn always looks its best. The BLADE’s innovative features, such as the Lawn Sweeper Kit, virtual boundary-setting technology, and X-Vision obstacle avoidance, set it apart from other robotic mowers in the market.

Now, even though I am quite happy with my purchase so far, I won’t go as far as saying it’s perfect. It’s not but nothing ever is. The setup can be frustrating as you try to make sense of an entirely new way of doing something that was once quite easy.

Mowing a lawn is something everybody knows how to, but most of us resent every minute of it. Once the EcoFlow Blade is setup, you’ll appreciate the convenience of it. I don’t plan on recycling my lawn mower just yet because I still need it at times when Blade misses a spot and instead of getting it to trim a specific area in my yard, it’s much quicker for me to turn on my Makita cordless mower and take care of it.

The truth is, the EcoFlow BLADE is a revolutionary product and a taste of things to come in the realm of lawn care. As the world’s first smart robotic lawn sweeping mower, it brings a new level of sophistication and convenience to maintaining your lawn. However, it’s important to remember that while the BLADE offers impressive features and performance, it’s essential to consider your specific needs and circumstances before making a purchase. Always cross-reference with real-world reviews and experiences to ensure you’re making an informed decision. And if you want a cheap robotic lawn mower, this isn’t it. Expect to pay around $3000, if you pay full retail. Keep your eye open for sales.

EcoFlow is on a mission to dominate this market and as far as I’m concerned, they don’t have any competition. Sure, there are other brands making similar products but they are a long way from catching up to the quality and engineering of EcoFlow.

I’m a genuine fan of the EcoFlow brand so whether you’re looking for an excellent robotic lawn mower like the Blade or smart products to make your life easier the I highly recommend buying their products. We’ve been covering their portable power stations like the Delta Pro for years so it’s nice to see them branching out and applying the same quality to their newest devices.
